Leeanne Bailey, of Bastrop County Cares, joined us last week. She provided information regarding a need that BCC is trying to meet:  There are three “family meeting rooms” at the CPS office which are in great need of sprucing up to make them more hospitable.  The “ask” to Rotary is support for an industrial grade infant changing table for @ $400.  The total budget for the 3-room refurbish is about $1000 and the BCC deadline is April.

Needs a new sofa!

Needs new toys and PAINT!

Needs a sturdy changing table!

Our presenter at Tuesday's meeting, March 17, will be the Les & Steve Show.  They will bring us up-to-speed on our Annual Fundraiser -

the First Annual Golf Tournament.

[ATTENTION! The Golf Tournament Committee will have a brief meeting after every regular luncheon until April 27.

We, as a club, still have MUCH to do to make this FUNDRAISER a success!!]

Bastrop Rotarians and family members joined Rotarians from around Central Texas last Saturday to help pack meals at a h-u-u-ge Rise Against Hunger effort in Austin.

Our major annual fundraiser is Monday, April 27, 2026.

We are still in need of folks to step up to obtain sponsorships for the Tournament. See Les & Steve for who you can “collar.”

On the day of the Golf Tournament at Lost Pines Hyatt, more hands-on help will be needed.  See the schedule below.

PDG Bill Bradfield Memorial Matching Campaign ENDS
This year's Spring matching campaign has ended.  In a record 14 days we have expended the entire $20,000 pool of matching cash.

In all, 143 Rotarians representing 24 clubs contributed a total of $75,405.  When you add in the cash component of the match - $20,000 - that's a total of $95,405 contributed to the Annual Fund!

Significantly, 85 of the 143 contributors have either become a first-time Paul Harris Fellow or reached a new Paul Harris Fellow level by virtue of their contribution and its match.  Another 4 became Major Donors.  Congratulations!

If you're one of the 143 who has already contributed, thank you so very much for your generous contribution.  It's your annual contribution to this fund that ensures District 5870 has the wherewithal to provide community DAP Grants, career and technology scholarships, district service projects and international humanitarian grants.  None of this would be possible without your generous support.

Final Standings:

Gold Medal:  Killeen Heights with 16 donors and a contribution amount of $14,897.

Silver Metal:  Marble Falls with 33 donors and a contribution amount of $12,729.
